Tellurian Marsanne is picked later in the season where Heathcote’s warm days and cool nights help to capture the expressive flavour offered by this variety. Made as as early drinking style, to showcase the best of its flavour and texture.

Organic. Suitable for vegans.

Vineyard

Hand picked from our Tellurian vineyard, in Tranter Rd, Toolleen, growing in Cambrian soils formed over 500 million-years. Deep, rich, decomposed greenstone rock with soil depths up to 2m allow roots to reach deep, while relatively low fertility controls vigour and yield.

Winemaking Notes

Hand picked grapes were harvested, then de-stemmed pressed direct to two 500L seasoned French oak puncheons for fermentation. The juice was then transferred to seasoned French oak, one puncheon and one barrique, and remained in barrel on lees for 7 months on lees before being stabilised, filtered and bottled.
