Australian wine holds a soft spot in our hearts here at Marquee Selections. Australia is the country where we got our start, importing hand-picked selections from some of the region’s winemaking pioneers.
That was twenty years ago, and today Australian wine is at the top of its wine producing game. From bold expressions of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon to elegant, cool climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. White wines showcasing Marsanne, Viognier and Riesling are also quickly becoming hallmarks of this world famous wine nation.

Australia is big, and for that reason, it’s the gift that keeps on giving. From sprawling cities to extreme wilderness, a trip to the land down under will not soon be forgotten.
Making wine in all six states, the majority of production is found in the southeast between South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. In comparison, less than 5% of total production comes from Western Australia. With such vast landmass, Australia has created an appellation system containing around 70 designated wine regions to showcase each one’s unique expressions.
