Grenache
Bush Vine Grenache: A celebration of resilience and character. These gnarly, low-yielding vines are grown as nature intended, without trellising, allowing the grapes to capture the full essence of their terroir. The result is a wine with bright red fruit notes, and a subtle earthiness and lifted floral characters. This Heathcote Bush Vine Grenache offers a captivating bouquet of lifted florals, with hints of violets and wildflowers. The palate is refined and elegant, showcasing delicate red fruit flavours interwoven with subtle notes of allspice.
Organic. Suitable for vegans.
Vineyard
Hand picked from Block 18 growing in Cambrian soils formed over 500 million years. Red clay with sub soil interspersed with high stone content. Deep, decomposed greenstone rock allows these gnarly, low-yielding bush vines to be grown as nature intended, without trellising, capturing the full essence of their terroir.
Winemaking Notes
Grapes hand picked to optimise flavour and character. Mostly destemmed with around 15% whole bunches. Fermented on skins for 21 days to extract delicate red fruit flavours and subtle earthiness. Pressed to old French demi-muids (600L) prior to bottling.
